Mobile Living Lab

Mobile Living Lab illustrasjon We have set up a trial version of the RECORD mobile phone app, currently available for iPhone/iPad. Via this app, user participants can take part in Living Lab studies from their mobile devices.

The users are given access to designs and asked to give feedback – as ratings or free text comments. All user feedback is available to all user participants. User participants, as well as representatives from the development team, are encouraged to comment on others’ feedback.

Whenever new designs or new discussion topics are available, the Living Lab admin notifies the user participants through the app. The Living Lab admin also serves as moderator.

The Mobile Living Lab has been used as part of the demonstration of the results from a European research project,R2D2 networks, where it was used to collect real-time feedback on the quality of broadband transmission as experienced by the users.

In addition to functionality for commenting and rating, the Living Lab app includes functionality for direct messages to the Living Lab admin, user-configured reminders for feedback, and statistics of own participation.
